Born on Cape Cod, my love for photography started from experiencing the Cape's natural beauty. I used an SLR camera for the first time in the mid 80's, when I photographed the swimming ducks at Shawme Pond in Sandwich. To this day, when I make photographs, I still feel the same excitement that I felt on that day when I looked through the lens for the first time.
My photographic journey will continue for the remainder of my life, always searching for the next subject to capture. I feel most alive standing before the vibrant colors of a sunset, in the dramatic light after a storm, or inside the historic architecture of the churches of Europe. While concentrating on landscape, wildlife, travel, architectural, and portrait photography, I try using unique angles and light to create images with a feeling of emotion. Also, I integrate my extensive background of studies in design, fine arts, and architecture.
Most importantly, I want to take photographs that bring enjoyment into the lives of all who view them.
